How accurate is it?
How accurate is this test and are we good at it ?
The combination of using your age, the nuchal translucency scan, and the blood tests will identify approximately 90% of babies with Down's Syndrome.
Over the last 9 years, and over 10 000 scans, audit of our own results show that our detection rate of chromosomal abnormalities has in fact been considerably better than this. If the routine anomaly scan is included as well the detection rate has been 98%.
