Uterine artery scan: 22-24 weeks

This is a Colour Doppler scan, assessing the blood flow to the uterus from the mother.

The aim is to further define the risk of pre-eclampsia and poor in-utero growth. It is helpful in assessing whether a pregnancy needs to be treated as higher risk or whether less medicalised antenatal care is appropriate.
