Growth/ wellbeing scans

14-42 weeks

Poor fetal growth is one of the most serious problems in pregnancy. A growth scan can ensure that the growth has been normal and that the placental and baby circulation is normal. If clinically indicated we can assess the blood flow to the placenta, in the head and other organs and that back into the heart.

In later pregnancy, about one third of all breech babies are not discovered until labour: a scan can easily determine if the baby is in the right place.
